In October we take an afternoon and members of our organization make soups and other goodies from the Czech lands for you to taste. We usually have various musical entertainment or dancers to enhance your experience.
On a Saturday in either June or July each year we host a Genealogy Workshop. In the morning segment we have guest speakers update us on different ways of finding out more about our ancestors. The afternoon is spent using what we learned in the morning to perform hands-on genealogical research.
Every year we host a festival that allows everyone to experience many aspects of the Czech culture. At our Springfest you can enjoy Czech foods, music, dancing, and crafts. We always have a variety of vendors at our Springfest as well as a special guest artist from the Czech Republic. The Springfest is held annually on the Saturday after Easter.
If you want to have fun and learn how to better speak the Czech language then you should come to the Czech Cultural Museum Houston, located at 4920 San Jacinto St. in Houston, on Monday nights. We have beginner and advanced classes that are held from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Classes are on-going and can be joined at anytime. The only prerequisite for the classes is an interest in the Czech language and culture. Classes are free and the materials are provided by the organization. If you have questions about the Czech language classes send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
